Before taking on this function, he was Director of the Centre for studies (1976 - 1991) and Vice-President (1991 – 2011) of the Euro-Atlantic Association of Belgium. Since 2003, he is also Chairman of the Jury of the Euro-Atlantic Award of the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Ms. Julie Lindhout

Julie Lindhout taught 16 years at the secondary school level, and joined the Ontario Ministry of Education in 1980, serving in several senior management positions. She was Director of Policy when she retired from the Ministry of Education in 1998, established Lindhout Associates Education Consulting, and increased her involvement with the Atlantic Council of Canada (ACC) into a more than full-time volunteer position, since becoming President in 2002.

Kristin Durant was elected President of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA) in November 2011. Prior to this, she has been Political Vice President of Denmark’s largest student union, Djøf Students, as well as Vice President of YATA Denmark. Kristin works as P.A. for a Danish entrepreneur and political consultant, and is studying Public Administration and Global Studies at Roskilde University. Kristin has a background in International Business and Politics at Copenhagen Business School and Niels Brock Business College.
