The Transatlantic Strategic Partnership in a Globalised World

The Atlantic Council of the United States will hold the Wilton Park Conference from March 5th-7th 2010. The council’s Strategic Advisors Group will meet at Wilton Park in England in conjunction with FRS and RUSI for a transatlantic discussion on the Strategic Concept at the mid-point of the process of NATO’s unofficial reflection on its strategic posture.
The Wilton Park Conference will try to find answers to these questions: What is the current state of the transatlantic strategic partnership, and where does it need to go? What are NATO’s political and military roles and responsibilities within that partnership, and how should they evolve? Who are the key target audiences for the new Strategic Concept of the Alliance, and what influence can it have on them? To which strategic challenges should the new Strategic Concept accord most weight? How should NATO define its responses to those challenges?
This conference is by invitation only.
Please contact the Conference Administration Manager for more information about taking part in the conference.
