ACC Tribute Dinner - 18 May 2010

The Atlantic Council of Canada (ACC) introduced its Annual Award for Exceptional Contribution to International Peace and Security in 2007.

Each year, the award recognizes a Canadian who has made a significant contribution to international peace and security, and to furthering the values the founding members set forth in the North Atlantic Treaty: “to safeguard the freedom, common heritage and civilization of their peoples, founded on the principles of democracy, individual liberty and the rule of law.

The award consists of a citation and a financial contribution made in the name of the recipient to the Sarahim School for Exceptional Children in Kabul, Afghanistan, established by Lieutenant-Commander Albert Wong.

On 18 May 2010 the Ceremony was held at Seeley Hall, Trinity College University of Toronto.
