This year the Riga Conference will focus on the topic Economic Recovery in A Changing Security Environment: Transatlantic Agenda 2010. Therefore the main aim of the conference will be to discuss security implications of the economic decline for the both the EU and NATO members and non-members, as well as to define the transatlantic agenda for the year 2010.

The Riga Conference 2009 is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Ministry of Defence of Latvia, German Marshall Fund of the U.S., NATO PDD, Soros Foundation Latvia, U.S. Embassy in Riga.
