2nd NATO Ministerial Debriefing

On October 11th at 6.00 p.m the Atlantic Treaty Association organised the 2nd NATO Ministerial Debriefing

The Debriefing focused upon the policy outcomes of the recent Meeting of NATO Ministers of Defense, where the Alliance Members discussed, among others topics, the mission in Libya, the situation in Afghanistan, missile defense and command structure reform.

The Debriefing was hosted at the ATA Headquarters, Rue des Petits Carmes 20, Bruxelles, and saw remarks by Mr. Nicholas Williams, Head of Afghanistan Team at the International Staff, by Mr. Chris Morffew, Defense and Policy Planning, Dr. Jasper Wieck,  Head of Political Section, of the German delegation to NATO, Mr Oguzhan Ertugrul, Head of Defense Section, of the Turkish delegation to NATO, and Mr. Marcin Kawalowski, First Secretary, of the Polish Delegation to NATO. ATA Secretary General Mr. Troels Frøling moderated the event.

Th panel discussed a number of topics ranging from the future of NATO policy in Afghanistan, after the withdrawl of ISAF in 2014, to how NATO is approaching the concept of "Smart Defence".
