The Atlantic Treaty Association is excited to announce the start of our new Mediterranean Security Debates online forum!

In light of the recent events of the Arab Spring and the growing inter-connectedness of the Mediterranean region, we feel that it’s important to encourage a meaningful dialogue between the young people who live in these countries.

To facilitate this, we designed a Forum on our own website in which participants can discuss regional security issues related to defense, trade, immigration, and democracy transitions. Our overall goal is to give young people the opportunity to come together and identify the issues of today as well as their implications for the future.

The Forum is open to those who reside in or are natives of Mediterranean countries as well as to other Young Atlanticists who wish to contribute to the debate by offering their own thoughts and responses.

Eventually, the ATA Forum will be used to select and recruit young professionals from the Mediterranean region to participate in upcoming ATA Mediterranean activities.
