Mr. Arben Imami

Arben Imami is the Albanian Minister of Defense.  From 2005-2009 he was the Chief of Cabinet of the Prime Minister.  Before this, Mr. Imami held multiple Important positions within the Albanian government.

Arben Imami was born in Tirana in 1958. He was a professor at the Academy of Arts and joined the Students' Movement of 1990; he's one of the founders of the DP and political pluralism. He's been elected as a Parliament member in five legislatures and has held chief party and governmental positions during his political activity in the Democratic Party (during 1990-1992), Democratic Alliance (during 1992-2002) and Democratic Party (2002-2009). His contribution is extended also in constitutional and legal-institutional fields.
