Mr. Savo Kentera

Savo Kentera was elected ATA vice-president in 2008. He studied law and political science and holds a Masters degree in international relations obtained in the Faculty of Political Sciences in Podgorica (Montenegro).

He also studied at the Institute on National Security – USA, Washington D.C. (Department of State program). Currently, Mr. Kentera is finishing his Ph.D. theses in international relations on the Faculty of Political Sciences in Montenegro.

Since 2005 Mr. Kentera has been the Executive Director of the Center for International Relations of Montenegro, whose main goals are improving international relations in Montenegrin Society and dealing with the security sector reform in the process of Euro-Atlantic integrations in Montenegro.

As a founder and Secretary General of the Euro-Atlantic Club of Montenegro, Mr. Kentera is dedicated to the promotion of the idea of Atlantic integrations and to the development of consciousness on the need for these integrations in Montenegrin society.

Mr. Kentera is also the founder of the Security magazine the only such magazine in Montenegro and in the region addressing security issues on a professional basis. The Magazine is distributed free of charge to more than 2000 addresses around the world. The Security Magazine is bilingual (Montenegrin and English language) and it’s published quarterly.

Mr. Kentera published more than hundred articles and he is also working as a lecturer in Montenegro, the region and the USA.

He is fluent in English and has a good knowledge of German and Italian.
